Memorial Day. Wanted to get some egg tarts at 3pm as an afternoon snack, no one in sight, i walked in saw the cashier eating her lunch at the corner near the door, we locked eyes, ignoring me as I entered. I stood near the cash register ready to ordered ,but no acknowledgment , I stood there for a bit and the cashier continued to ignored me. There’s the baker in the back coming out, didn’t acknowledge me either after we locked eyes, the lady walked to where I was no acknowledgment continues to take out fresh bread and eating her corn. Really, am I a ghost? Why should I be the one requesting to be seen and giving them my money. I can live without the egg tarts.

My first time to enter this to go/pick up dim sum place. The atmosphere is not warm or welcoming so you can easily see that decor/ atmosphere is not deemed important. Since it is pickup only, I assume this is why no importance is given to looks as customers will not be eating in. I bought: shrimp fry ball( 2 for $4.50), 3 fried sesame balls($4.25), fried shrimp tofu(3 for $4.50), and a sticky rice lotus leaf($4.50). I immediately ate the 2 shrimp fry balls. It was lukewarm but delicious. I couldn't help myself and ate a fried shrimp tofu: delicious. I will eat the sesame balls, sticky rice and 2 shrimp tofu this evening. You might be daunted by the unattractive look and decor of this business but their strength lies in the taste of their food. I'm not a gourmand in dim sum. I'm more of a plebeian taste and this dim sum tastes good. The presentation and lighting in the display counters could be improved so the customer can clearly see what is available and how it looks. You should come at least once so you can taste for yourself whether the dim sum suits your palate.

Of course when I come home to San Jose, I need to get some good food. We went and picked up some food from a dim sum and bakery. Lots of great choices and I was definitely happy and full. I didn't get a picture of the rice porridge with chicken and diced thousand year old duck egg, but that was devoured first and fast. #thisishowichow #dimsum #greenonionbread #friedtaroroll #potstickers #shrimp #shumai

You know a place to good if there are: 1. Line out the door 2. Amazing smells 3. Alot of Asians at a Asian restaurant :) Really affordable, tasty food. This place fulfilled my dim sum craving and still had leftovers for dinner. The congee was excellent as well as the shu mai and sticky rice. Overall everything was tasty and cheap!!

This is our favorite place for beef cheng fun. I think they call it beef rice crepe. There's a shrimp version, but the beef version is our favorite. I also like their BBQ pork buns, both the streamed and baked versions are good. The turnip cake is good. If you can afford the calories, try the deep fried sesame balls with sweet bean paste inside. Then try the version that doesn't have the sesame seeds and looks like a golden delicious colored rock, there's a savory pork filling inside...you won't be disappointed.
